Sarah (Patient Advocate)
I have been a patient advocate at Gastonia Family Dentistry since October of 2017 and I couldn’t imagine working anywhere else. I love getting to help people and making them happy. In my spare time, I love to go fishing, four-wheeling, shopping, and spending time with my friends and family. My husband and I love going to the beach at Oak Island. That's where you can find us relaxing and soaking up the sun!
Shannon (Treatment Coordinator)
I have been in the dental field since 2015 and I love every moment of it! I have worked in customer service since I was sixteen years old. I enjoy building trust and relationships with our patients. When I’m not working, I love spending time with my kids.
Brooke (Hygiene Coordinator)
I started my dental career here at Gastonia Family Dentistry in 2012. Over the years, I have created some wonderful relationships with our patients - that is truly the greatest part of my job! You will most likely see me walking throughout the office when you are in for your dental cleaning. If you ever need anything while you are here, please feel free to ask for me and I'll be right at your side to help out! I am a wife and mother to two wonderful children (& two dogs!). A few things I enjoy doing are cooking, shopping, bible journaling, kayaking, watching movies, and taking a good nap! My favorite vacation spot is the beach! I would love to live there one day ☺
Dana (Patient Advocate)
I have been with Gastonia Family Dentistry since September of 2013. Knowing how important dental care is, I strive to meet each patient’s unique needs. I have been married to the love of my life for over 30 years and we have 3 beautiful daughters. I enjoy spending time with my family, working in my yard, and, of course, shopping!
Lori (Treatment Coordinator)
When I started to work for Gastonia Family Dentistry in the fall of 2018 I would have never imagined how “at home” I would feel here. The staff here are like family and we all work great together. I have a passion for people and knowing that I get an opportunity to put a smile on someone’s face brings joy to my life. I am a mom of 3 beautiful children and I have been married to a great man for over 20 years. I’m thankful for all my blessings. My greatest passion is cooking - if you start talking about food our conversation could be endless!
Kaitlyn (Insurance Coordinator)
I started working for Gastonia Family Dentistry in the summer of 2019. I enjoy coming to my second home every day to see our patients smile when they check out. It makes my heart happy knowing that I am helping make a difference in our patients' smiles. My favorite thing about my job is getting to know the patients one-on-one and working with the best group of doctors and coworkers around. I am a blessed mother of two sweet, beautiful babies that are my world, and one “fur baby”, Nova. I love spending time with my family, shopping, and going on adventures with my boyfriend, Tyler.
Jill (Dental Assistant)
I have been a Dental Assistant at Gastonia Family Dentistry since 2010. I love my job and the great staff I get to work with daily. I enjoy getting to know my patients during their visits and will always strive to make them feel as comfortable as possible. It is very rewarding to be able to work with a team of doctors that provide the best dental care with the latest technology and really care about patient comfort. Originally from Western New York, I moved to the Carolinas in 1998 and now live in SC with my husband, Nik, and our 3 wonderful children. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with family, watching my kids play soccer, riding four wheelers and going to the beach as much as possible.
Emily S. (Dental Hygienist)
I have been a dental hygienist since 2014, working at Gastonia Family Dentistry for almost 2 years. Before I went to hygiene school, I studied nursing at East Carolina University (GO PIRATES!). I love the atmosphere at work and being able to help my patients achieve their best smiles! Before coming to Gastonia Family Dentistry, I worked in pediatrics; I love that I get to see patients of all ages at our practice! I've been married for 3 years and have a spunky 2-year-old daughter, 2 dogs, and a cat. My free time consists of spending time with my family, friends, and summer trips to the amazing North Carolina coast!
Ashley (Dental Hygienist)
I started my dental career in 2006 as a dental assistant. After 3 ½ years as a hygiene assistant, I discovered my heart was in dental hygiene. I graduated hygiene school in 2011 from Catawba Valley Community College. It makes my heart smile to know I’m helping our patients smile. When I’m not with my second family here at Gastonia Family Dentistry, I enjoy spending time with my husband of 3 years doing anything outdoors.
Neleigh (Hygiene Assistant)
I was born and raised here in Charlotte, North Carolina. I am happily married to my best friend and we recently welcomed our baby boy, Grayson. I grew up knowing that I wanted to pursue a career in dentistry and in 2016 I began a new journey at Lake Norman Dental Assisting School. Shortly after graduating I accepted a position here at Gastonia Family Dentistry and have strived to insure that every patient I meet has the best possible experience. Some of my favorite things to do are: eating tacos, hanging with friends and family, completing DIY projects with my husband, and traveling. I am so fortunate to have found an office that not only cares for our patients but also cares deeply for each other; I never imagined I would get to work with some of my best friends!
Karley (Hygiene Assistant)
I started at Gastonia Family Dentistry in June of 2019 as a hygiene assistant. I attended Charlotte Dental Assistant School and graduated as a DA1. I love being a member of the GFD family and helping patients maintain their beautiful smiles. I have always found value in my own oral health and hope to instill this value in our patients. In my free time, I like to spend time with my husband, Lucas, and play with our two blue heelers, Camo and Bama.
Hannah (Hygiene Assistant)
I started working at Gastonia Family Dentistry in May of 2019 as a hygiene assistant. I attended North Carolina Dental Assistant Training School (NCDATS) and graduated as a DA1 in 2017. I plan to further my career in the dental field and attend dental hygiene school at Central Piedmont Community College in Charlotte, North Carolina. I love being a member of the GFD family because everyone is very passionate about their jobs and patients. I chose to be in the dental field because I love being able to touch someone’s life in a positive way - not only keeping their smiles healthy but giving them a reason to smile. Working in a dental office has so many rewarding moments. In my free time, I love to spend time with my family, take care of my grandmother, and hang with friends. I also love spending time with my cat, Annabelle.
Emily F. (Dental Assistant)
I started in the dental field as a patient care coordinator in 2016 and soon realized I wanted to become a dental assistant. After graduating from NCDATS, I started working at Gastonia Family Dentistry in 2018. The best part about my job is the great staff and group of dentists I get to work with daily. We are a second family here at GFD and love to joke and have a good time. We do our best to provide the best dental care with the latest technology and really care about our patients' comfort. I was born and raised in Charlotte, NC and recently moved to Dallas, NC with my husband. I enjoy having a good time with family and friends, spending time in the mountains or at the beach, cheering for my Clemson Tigers, and spoiling my 2 labs, Bullet and Kimber. A perk of coming to see us at our office is that we play Pandora throughout your appointment, so we let you choose what music you'd like to listen to. You may even catch me singing or humming along!
Casandra (Dental Assistant)
I graduated from Central Piedmont Community College as a DA2 and CDA in July 2019. I completed my externship at Gastonia Family Dentistry and was hired shortly after graduating. I love working at this office - I help each patient improve their smile and even make them laugh! I was born and raised in Danville, VA. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my husband and kids, singing at church, and traveling.
Casey (Dental Assistant)
I have been a dental assistant with Gastonia Family Dentistry for two years now and counting. I studied dental assisting at Lake Norman Dental Assisting School in October 2017 and started working here shortly after graduating. My favorite part of being a dental assistant is not only fixing up smiles, but making each and every one of my patients feel as if they were family to myself and the doctors. I'll do anything to make my patients feel comfortable, even if that means singing and dancing along to the music during treatment. In my spare time, I love playing with my two-year-old boxer, spending time with my close family and friends around the pool or bonfire, and making DIY crafts. I'm also not a bad cook (depending on what day it is). Prior to becoming a part of the GFD family, my experience here as a patient was amazing, and I hope that we are able to provide the same amazing experience to you!
Wendy (Dental Hygienist)
I have been an RDH for 29 years, and I am currently in my sixth year at Gastonia Family Dentistry. My husband Steve and I have three children, one grandson, Maddox, and have recently been blessed with a granddaughter, Alice. In my spare time, I enjoy football games, camping, and ATV racing with my family. The most rewarding part of my job is helping patients feel confident with their smile!
Miranda (Dental Assistant)
I graduated from Central Piedmont Community College Dental Assisting program in July 2019. I started at Gastonia Family Dentistry in March 2019 as an externship student. I was offered a job and started here shortly after graduating. I love the upbeat atmosphere and awesome staff that I get to work with on a daily basis. We all truly enjoy getting to know our patients and making their visits as comfortable as possible. I was born and raised in Gaston County. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with family, friends, and spoiling my two basset hounds, Lemon and Max!
Amy (Dental Assistant)
I am a certified Dental Assistant with over a decade of experience. I like to laugh and joke around. I love meeting new people and helping people achieve healthy, beautiful smiles.
Brittany (Patient Advocate)
As one of the newest members of this wonderful team, I strive to make every patient's experience great! I am the smiling face waiting to greet you when you walk through our doors and also the face that wishes you a great day as you depart. I am 26 years old and engaged to an amazing man who I met 6 years ago. This year, we had the greatest experience of becoming new parents to a little girl. My hobbies outside of work are eating up all the time I can with my daughter, traveling, hiking, and shopping. Also, saving pit bulls is a huge passion of mine. I now have three that I've saved and kept as my own but I also foster and place them in homes full of love. I can't wait to meet you and create a great experience with you here at Gastonia Family Dentistry!
Jessica (Insurance Coordinator Lead)
My journey here at Gastonia Family Dentistry started in December 2018. I am originally from Pittsburgh, PA but after graduating from Duquesne University in 2008, I found my way to North Carolina where I live with my husband and three children. I have always had a passion for helping people and it was here that I started my career in dentistry and found a field where I could truly make a difference. I discovered that the insurance aspect of the dental field can be a very confusing and complicated one. The more that I was able to learn, the more I was able to help our patients get the treatment that they needed by maximizing their benefits. I love what I do and I love working here at GFD where I am surrounded by people who share my passion for patient care!
Maria (Practice Administrator, CDA/DAll)
My dental career began in 2004 at this wonderful place, Gastonia Family Dentistry. One of the main reasons I have stayed in one place for all of the years is that I have a vested interest in my patients and their family members. Getting to know the patients personally warms my heart and makes my day. In addition to our wonderful patients, I get to work with so many talented and compassionate professionals - that’s what makes our team so special. As Practice Administrator, I ensure that our office runs smoothly. I also work with other team members to continually improve our offices, operations, and efficiency. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my three girls Jenna, Anna, and Hannah, and hanging out by the pool. During the summer you can find us at the beach!
